The Commonwealth Grant (COMA) covers tuition and fees only.  COMA funding is limited, so it is awarded to in-state students on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted.  Recipients must maintain a minimum of 6 credits for the involved semester to be eligible.  A student’s COMA award will be cancelled if the student is not registered for at least 6 credits at the end of the add/drop period.  Failing to maintain 6 credits or more resulting in the loss of COMA may cause a student to owe funds to the College. Additionally, ceasing to attend classes or withdrawing from classes after the end of the add/drop period will likely result in a recalculation of aid.  Any unearned portion of the grant must be returned to the Commonwealth.  This may leave the student with a balance owed to the College.

Please note that students receiving Chapter 33 (Post-911) GI Bill benefits are not eligible to receive the Commonwealth Award. If it was awarded and we later receive notice of your receipt of these benefits the Commonwealth Award will be cancelled.
